Since our work is not tied to one medium, we are free to translate any given mood. Multi layered art works blend, creating tones and inspiration that range from observation of nature to the human soul. Translating an image and presenting it in a way that healing – a way of sharing with the observer, a sense of connectedness.
Working as an artist can lead to a remoteness of the soul. This expression conveys to destigmatise mental health issues, questioning what is classed as normal and abnormal, challenging perceptions and separateness so that our work doesn’t always warrant an explanation, rather the intent and spirit behind it. A pictorial view of a succession of remembered or anticipated events as we navigate life.
Our approach can vary depending on which medium we work with, either painting or drawing straight on to the canvas, working intuitively and allowing a conversation to build through mark making or colour. This means the process is just as important as the finished artwork.
